Yet at the beginning you almost felt sorry for him. You understood and applauded his passive, then active vengeance.

Quite the character arc for Lester. From empathy deserving/hiding in the shadows to hate deserving/selfish lowlife vile pussy.

The characters in this show are brilliant. All of them.

Billy Bob's sociopath
The women deputy
The Bemidji chief of police
Colin hanks timid midwestern
The grocery store dude

There better be some emmys for this

Don't forget Keith Carradine, his scene this week with Billy Bob was awesome, so much tension.

I think so, yes. It has some dumb moments. But overall it's got great, I mean GREAT performances. The writing is solid. The direction and the tone are wonderful. They've managed to capture what was fun about the movie and make it their own thing.

I had a real problem with the female characters at the start. Too much "women are just nagging bitches" in the writing. But it grew out of the that fairly quickly.

Not a perfect show, but a lot of fun in your a fan of the film and definitely worth checking out.

Also, some of the most violent and fucked up scenes I've seen on any TV show. Some of these people to terrible and disturbing things.

Yup.

The two hit men were also very well crafted.

Not sure yet about Key and Peele, though

The whole Carradine/Thornton scene and the buildup to Molly's arrival was so intense.

I laugh every time they show Molly's diagram that identifies the one hit man as "deaf fella".

I wasn't sure about them either, but Key and Peele have been good so far.

Anyone buying the theory that Malvo...

The post was also made three days after the show initially aired. While I always think it's best to spoiler tag big events, I don't think anyone did anything wrong. These are living threads. Once something airs, I'm not sure it can be called a spoiler. At that point it's really just about how cautious one wants to be.

Enter at your own risk and all of that.

No, it isn't. They did the same blurb at the beginning of the original Fargo film. That one was also not a true story.

The Coen brothers put that at the front because they thought no one would believe it otherwise. But it's entirely fictional.

You should read up about that blurb in the film, though. A person actually died because they thought it was a true story. It's really crazy.

I found it rather underwhelming actually. After 9 great episodes, this one was a huge letdown...
Spoiler: show
Specifically Malvo's death - I was ok with Gus killing him, but just sitting down wounded? I get it with all of the predator/prey stuff, but I just wanted more. Lester should have suffered, but I was ok with his outcome. Molly should be involved a lot more with both of their demises.

Agreed.

I thought the finale was a little disappointing.

However, not sure what we were expecting - Just as in the original film, the local heroes were everyday family folk, of high quality and character, and they were up against some pretty vile criminals. Good defeats bad (all kinds of bad), and somehow it doesn't disrupt the family. It may affect their opinion of the world, but there inner strength is too durable to let it change who they are.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire series. The acting performances and character development especially were superb.
