Yea, I really like MYM. I'd put it up there with a lot of pre-PRAMG songs.

Yellow moon sorta sounds like that blind melon song, no rain.

A little bit

Lightning bolt is the only CD i have on my desktop at work, and one of the speakers on the computer is broken. The beginning of Getaway is actually kinda cool this way.

the chorus is still really good though. I wonder if people would like it more in a different song.

the swallowed whole intro also sounds a bit better since the whole thing is muted and so that sub par tone on Eddie's guitar blends into the rest of the song better.

The swallowed whole solo (the whole thing, actually) sounds really good on these shitty speakers. It takes some of the gloss off of the song--it makes the whole thing sound dirtier.

lightning bolt has lots of cool moments happening underneath the main song that I like a lot which are lost here, but again the dirtier sound gives the song a grittier edge that I like,

Man, this experience really hammers home just how shiny this album is.

Sirens next.

Sirens wasn't as good. This is a song that needs to embrace its glorious excess. It's a ridiculously over the top anthem, and the core song here suffers a bit having that excesses toned down.

The solo was a bit better, but I really don't like the Sirens solo, despite my appreciation for the rest of the song.

MYM is better as is. But that's one of my favorite PJ songs, period.

LTRP is better without the gloss.

Future Days sounds better this way--more intimate. But some of the beautiful coloration in that song is lost. So I guess it's a wash.

Pendulum needs a Binaural treatment. This is a bit too dusty, gives it an almost western feel that actually is kinda cool in the second half of the song, but less so in the first.
