we're working off of official releases. So if a song was written in the 60s but someone else performed it in the 70s (or whatever) you're good, provided it was an official release. Some live performance is probably not enough

Born to run just came up on shuffle. I like Springsteen, but he is not even close to a personal favorite. Having said that, I want to reiterate my claim that born to run is not just the best song of the 1970s, but probably the best song in rock music history.


Platy has been wanting to say this for years, but feared the backlash. So I'll just say it for him.

If it's a favorite of two RM dignitaries, it's likely something most people have never heard of.
