I hope you guys are not going to watch it then.
It'll be the old "I had low expectations so I wasn't disappointed. I thoroughly enjoy giving those few waking hours that my job does not steal away to entertainment I expect to be subpar before it even begins."
"But what I enjoy even more than that is knowing that my money helps making them producers filthy rich along with funding the next shitty blockbuster that I will also watch."
That being said, don't you watch pretty much every shitty action/superhero movie that comes out though?

I'll have to wait and see what the trailers look like for the respective films. But I'm not optimistic at this point. I'm pretty good at judging something for what it is, not what I think it will be or what I want it to be.
But, yeah, unless the trailers look outstanding, I won't pay money to see these films in theaters. Probably won't even "rent" them. I didn't pay for MoS. I waited until it was on Netflix.
If the trailers look terrible I probably won't see the movies at all. I thought MoS was bad enough that I don't plan on seeing the new Batman v Superman even though I love the Batman character. Again, unless something about the trailers or early reviews gives me a tremendous amount of hope.

My friend adores those kinds of movies (and the chance to see something that isn't for his kids), and his wife is deaf.
Then again, in a few weeks' time I'll be halfway across the country and not coming back. Maybe my time of suffering is at an end.
Try to find better friends in your new life.
Are you prejudice against deaf people?
Nah, I like deaf people, you can say a lot of terrible things to their face. But to tell the truth I'm sure she fakes surdity so she doesn't have to put up with her husband's shitty taste in movies and probably in music too.

I'll download it, most likely. If it gets great reviews I might try to see it in theaters

Hopefully you mean great McP reviews

Apparently there's going to be a standalone Batman film with Ben Affleck in the next few years.
I really hope there's a scene in it where Batman gets to have a cheesy-stageshow-type choreographed dance-fight with his love interest in a child's playground.
