I'm sorry, McP. I love you. And I want to be on your team. But Star Trek (2009), Into Darkness, the LOST Pilot, Super 8 and MI:3 are all better than Brick. Like, WAY better. Like, beyond better. Like, Brick is one of the most tedious movies I've seen in the last 5 or 6 years.

But that doesn't change how I feel about you, buddy.

Yeah, I haven't seen LOOPER yet. But I want to like it. I don't know. I tried to see it once, but it did not go well. Not that that has anything to do with the film, though.

Actually, I haven't seen Brick. But for all their problems, Looper and Brothers Bloom both grabbed me way more than any of JJ's work. There wasn't an ounce of flash bang cynicism in the way they constructed their plot or characters...and not a drop of tribble blood in the way they told their stories.
