I just started the Gold Coast Show, my god ED sounds fucking horrible here. Auckland was rather good.

I'm trying to make a good compilation of 2013-2014 shows for my trip to Italy. Would you mind offering some suggestions for a couple songs that are played often like Given to Fly, lightning bolt, go, black, and do the evolution? Thank you in advance.

Why Go > DTE that opens Adelaide is about as good as modern-day PJ gets. Auckland has a great Black, and the best LB is definitely OKC

Yeah, those two are seriously great.

Man, I wish that show had taken place under more enjoyable circumstances.

Man, I just had a 2010 song come on my ipod followed by a 2014 song in the shuffle. The difference in audio quality between the two is mindblowing.

I tried to listen to Cleveland 2010 a couple of weeks ago and the audio quality was so bad I had to turn it off. :shake:

The crazy part is 2010 still sounds better than 2008 and 2009.

I like the OKC show. Why I didn't go I will never know. My buddy backed out and I didn't wanna go by myself but from now on that won't even matter.

As a rather new person to the board and someone who is a PJ live show virgin (embarrassing I know) it's entertaining and refreshing to hear how intense you guys speak (well....type) about live shows.

Lincoln can't get here soon enough and I'm toying with the idea of going to Tulsa as well.....even by myself.....shows on back to back nights would just be :heartbeat:

If you're able to, definitely do it. Back to back shows make for a great couple of days.

If it's something I really want to see, I personally think it's preferable to go alone.

Auckland's probably the best of the bunch, Adelaide's OK too.

The Euro and US shows might end up throwing up some better shows from this year, so you may want to bear that in mind.

I agree. Sometimes "friends" are more aggrevation than benefit.

Listened to a bit of the Auckland show in the car this morning. Much improved from the 2013 US Tour - nice listen so far.

I also second this recommendation

I concur. When I travel for shows I usually do at least two. And don't worry about going alone.

Seeing back to back shows takes away the whole "i hope they play this, oh no they played Porch that means I wont get RVM" dynamic of seeing Pearl Jam.

Though this isn't particularly interesting, it took til my third Pearl Jam show to see Porch and my fourth to see RVM; they didn't play either at the first two shows I saw.

I didn't get Porch over until my 8th show. I saw them 7 times in '96 and '98 without it, then finally got it in 2000. Over those first 7, I saw RVM 5 times.

I didn't get Release until my 13th show (Gorge 96), and not as the opener until my 18th show. Then I got it 3 more times as the opener in a row.

Funny how shit works out
