Time for Liverpool to ditch Suarez. He's a liability and he pisses me off.

He also almost singlehandedly took them from mid table purgatory to champions league and a near league title.

Oh it's true. Good memory.
I will never understand it.
"Yay, we tied!"
"Who won the game?"
"Nobody, it was a tie."
"Oh that's cute, was it your 3rd grade team? Whose turn was it to bring orange slices?"
"No actually it's world class international professional soccer. Half the time nobody actually wins the game."

Re: The Beautiful Game (The All Inclusive Soccer Thread)
Letting group play sort itself out with a crapshoot like penalty kicks surely would ensure the top two most deserving teams would advance!! Why has this not been set in place already?!?!

I see what you did there.numbers wrote:I just saw the Suarez play for the first time, it's kind of funny the way the bite is his go-to move in the box.

Re: The Beautiful Game (The All Inclusive Soccer Thread)
How about a 30 minute overtime. Sudden death. Offsides not called as a penalty.
That may cut down on ties and wouldn't be as much of a crapshoot as PK's.

Yeah I don't understand why offsides is needed in soccer. If the def doesn't want to play back and defend, that's their problem.Bammer wrote:How about a 30 minute overtime. Sudden death. Offsides not called as a penalty.

Can someone explain how offsides helps here?

Ok fine. Make it even simpler.
No more offsides penalties.

Without offsides you'd have players just waiting in the box for long passes and it would make the game stereotypical and boring.Fuck You Jobu wrote:Yeah I don't understand why offsides is needed in soccer. They actually tried it in MLS one year and it was a debacle.

If they allowed biting this wouldn't be an issue.numbers wrote:They actually tried it in MLS one year and it was a debacle.
