All star voters need to understand how freaking good Andrelton Simmons is defensively at short stop.

Where is he in the voting right now? There are a few NL shortstops I would rank ahead of him this year considering his offense has been pretty bad, and there's obviously no way anyone should catch Tulowitzki.

About as much as the first time. You know what's fun, though? Stroman faced the Yankees for the second time in less than a week last night, and after really struggling the first time around (mainly because he couldn't finish hitters off and the pitch count got really high, really fast) he was just dominant last night. He's a whole lot of fun to watch.

I think he's well out of the top 5 he won't be going.

I almost think they need to go back to paper ballets only at the stadium.
Mark Reynolds is what 4th in the latest update? Rickie Weeks is 4th? Brewer fans stuff the online voting way to much. Those 2 shouldnt even be on ballots.

I happily voted for Gomez and Lucroy obviously Tulo is killing it. I'm just saying its dumb but it's an extra home game for somebody. We see our guys everyday why aren't there more mercenary votes? We should be voting to win.

But they don't which is sad. Seriously might end up being the best defensive shortstop ever. Kid is unbelievable and I think he will hit (enough anyway) eventually. He showed some pop last year. I think Machado has the tools to be one of the best defensive 3rd basemen ever too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Tim Lincecum is the only person besides Sandy Koufax with multiple Cy Youngs, no-hitters, and World Series rings, isn't he?

what were we doing putting rob rasmussen in to start the 7th? we needed the win tonight.

144 K's and 14 walks for Price this year. That is just sick! On pace for the 2nd best season of all time for strikeout/walk ratio for a starter.

TB needs to trade him this summer. It's time. They can get a ridiculous amount of quality MLB ready prospects for him.

hes also only the 2nd guy to ever no hit the same team twice (granted, it was the padres)
other guy was in the 1908/1910 seasons for Cleveland vs ChiSox, forget his name though.

A good example of why they play the games everday no matter what teams look like on paper
Yesterday Brewers had Estrada, whos got a +5. ERA and is on pace to shatter the single season home runs allowed record
vs the Nationals Strasburg, PLUS, no Braun, Lucroy, or Ramirez (your current 2, 3, 5 hitters in the lineup)

Estrada goes 6 1/3, with only 2 hits allowed, and Strasburg gets shelled, go figure.

Price has some salty competition for Cy Young with Felix, Darvish, Tanaka and Buehrle but It'll be a good race in the second half. If the Royals can pick it back up Greg? Holland is going to get a shit ton of saves which will give him some Cy love. He won't win it but he would be in the conversation. I could see him getting in the 50s.

In the NL as great as Kershaw has been and is I'd have a hard time not giving the Cy Young to Cueto right now he's been a horse.

Probably Tulo and Trout for MVPs at this point.

Not so much "needed" as "it would have been really helpful", but I get what you're saying. In the end, though, it resulted in one additional run against and they lost by two. I was more disappointed with Gibby not pinch-hitting for Lind against a lefty with the bases loaded in the seventh. He's an awesome manager because of the way he plays the percentages so well and aggressively platoons guys, but in that situation it seems like he just went with his gut.

Also... Happ is a really weird pitcher.
