The cheetah/kid pic: while it probably is not the Denver zoo, it does remind me of it. I visited there on a rainy day and found that the only awnings or cover the large predators have is by the viewing windows, so I saw several large cats just a few feet away. It was kind of fun to be right next to a tiger, but it also emphasized how small the habitats are.

Yeah, the cheetah habitat at the Denver Zoo doesn't have viewing windows - just look across into the enclosure and hope you see them. I hear you with the tigers, though - a few years ago we were inside at the window and one of them sprayed the window - it was gross/awesome. We were in the gorilla house once when one of them charged the window that I was standing right in front of. Scared the crap out of me. My wife still likes to point out that I jumped over the stroller - I maintain that it was so I could steer it out of danger, not to use as a shield.simple schoolboy wrote:The cheetah/kid pic: while it probably is not the Denver zoo, it does remind me of it.
