I won't be quite this emphatic in my complaints but it wasn't a perfect performance by any stretch of the imagination; the whole band seem fairly hesitant and there's a few blank moments where nobody seems to know where to go next. Ed's vocals aren't bad but they clearly suffer from having already bellowed his way through a few hours of performance; the song really demands a smoothness and control in his lower register that he only really seems to have when he hasn't already pushed his voice to the outer reaches of his current limitations.
I had high expectations of the concert, and I think the band delivered. Several parts of the performance were as good as I've ever heard them. Ed made mistakes on a few songs, but nothing that ruined the experience, and the rest of the band was on top form. I also love hearing rarities, and Strangest Tribe has been one of my favorite songs for years. I knew the instant they started on it what it was, and that they had never played it before. Therefore it was probably a shoe-in for moment of the show, but it didn't quite feel that way. I think if they work on it, they can do a much better version in the future, one truly worthy of the potential of the song.

LOL!
I agree with Spenno - it wasn't great - but it wasn't awful either - for a first time performance - I'd like to hear a compilation of first time performances just to see how awful they are.

Well, people seem to like Eddie's performances of "I Won't Back Down" and "Love->Building On Fire", which he has never performed correctly once. I don't see why this should be any different. Eddie is living proof that not everybody can pull stuff out of their ass and be good at it. He throws a giant turd at the wall at it never sticks, it just splatters into the audience.
