Bugs... for No Quarter... and Let It Be seems to be a better bookend for the 60's (I know the rules, but still...)...

DeLima... for Dogs... and the Star Wars theme seems to be a better bookend for the 80's (I know the rules, but still..)...

My favorite Zep songs are probably Misty Mountain Hop and Over the Hills and Far Away. I'm not sure why I didn't draft them.
I coulda picked one of many.. n it's really odd I didn't go with one off physical graffiti or 3.. but I've been on a no quarter kick as of late

Over the hills is pretty awesome.. sweet enough to get some of its lyrics tatted on me

I've been having a long running argument with a friend over whether immigrant song or misty mountain hop is the better song. I think I'm losing.

Immigrant song is awesome and one of their best but it's kinda short.. it would be their best opener if not for that

My friend, like most people, likes weird al and thinks something is wrong with people who don't. He also thinks the star wars theme is awesome and yakkity sax is great. But then again I hang out on a board full of misanthrope and its my fault for continuously forgetting that.

maybe you're the real misanthrope for liking the kind of garbage that only serves to further the downfall of our civilization

According to Wikipedia, his first album came out in 1983. So I guess that means Amish Paradise is well within the first half of his career.

More importantly though, Stip, how was the Weird Al 30 Festival? Thoughts on the WA30 documentary?

I was sorta just being funny. But know that we're really looking at it...

Bad Hair Day is his 9th album. And it comes 13 years into his career. He has only recorded 5 albums since. 5 albums in 11 years.

To someone like me, who has been listening to him since I was 5, yeah, it's his later stuff.

But that's all really semantics, I guess. And I'm still upset with the USA loss.

His career path is eerily similar to Pearl Jam.
