I mowed yesterday and ran over one of the dog's stupid rope toys. Shredded it and took me 30 minutes to get all the rope untangled from the blade. :/

anyone ever gotten a big air bubble in their ceiling paint while painting? if so, how long did you wait to try and fix it? thinking like a week or something. it's latex ceiling paint. fairly big bubble, about the size of half a banana.

i'm guessing i just sorta cut it out, sand it (throw some mud on it if it won't sand), and paint over?

Didn't realize we had this thread.

In the past year I've done more projects than I can count.

Currently turning a spare bedroom into a master bath. Not as easy as it looks on TV. And those bastards don't include labor costs when they say how much stuff costs. But it's very rewarding.

bodysnatcher wrote:my favorite new hobby it to buy things from Home Depot that I know I'll only use once for a particular project, using them, then returning them. For instance, just bought four 48" bar clamps to use for a wooden countertop I'm building. Once that glue dries, those things are going back.
Ha. True story.

I will be spending part of my holiday weekend re-painting one side of my house because I forgot to clean the grill before cooking last night and damn near burned my house down. Bubbling paint to patch and soot to clean up. Pretty awesome. And to top it off, I took my wedding ring off to form the burgers and now I can't find it.

This is wacky sitcom material. How'd it work out?

It's like the cat, Jinx, from Meet The Parents.

Well...sort of but not really.

That sucks. I have 2 units and about 2-3 years ago the main one went out. Of course it happened during the middle of summer and the house temp shot up to over 90*F. Had to wait a few days and found it it had bad, leaking pipes or something like that. A few weeks ago the smaller one went out (was blowing warm air). It needed a new fan and some other parts. I thought it was going to be over $1000. Thankfully I had previously signed up for a money saving plan and also the Technician didn't charge me for some of the parts. The bill was a little over $700...cheaper than I thought, but still a lot.

Good luck, I hope it's nothing major or expensive.
