Livingston is a great pick up for the Warriors. They are gonna be scary next year. It's crazy how stacked the West is.

I think the Heat will try to sign a free agent or two before the big 3 sign anything. They'll give up money for good players and they want to see it, but they're not going to give up money for a guy like Steve Blake......

I was happy with the Bradley signing. He actually plays "hard, tap the floor kinda" defense - it's a lost art in the NBA and players should be compensated for valuable skill set/effort.

I would have liked him in the 5-6 range but what are you gonna do its not my money. Hopefully he isn't injured all the time.

Yeah, injuries are the downside for that amount of cash. Danny was speaking so highly of him...I think he's a good clubhouse guy to have on the team. Sets a good example, etc.

I dunno, I figure the C's are at least 2-3 years from being a contender anyway - I'm happy to watch this develop over time. I don't like the quick fix. It just doesn't seem to be sustainable.

I agree. Lockdown perimeter defenders should be paid.

Hey I have an Avery Bradley tee shirt and everything! :D I just thought the price was a little high. Seems like the classic bidding against yourself situation. I'm glad he's on the team though.

Will the C's ship Rondo?

Good question. I'm not sure. You gotta find a team that would want him, that he would want to sign with long term and one with assets the C's want back. Houston for Parsons? I don't think Houston would go for it. Pacers for Lance. Yuck. Lakers for cap relief? Maybe LA takes Wallace's crap deal as well? Outside of those teams I don't know where else he would go. If he's happy in Boston and doesn't expect a max deal I'd keep him.

Bada....I agree with you on Avery Bradley and about Rondo. I think Rondo is a step below a max contract - I doubt that he agrees about that, though, which complicate things.

I am a big believer in keeping players who have demonstrated that they can deal and excel in Boston - a heated environment full of passionate, sometimes irrational fans and sports media. Rondo can take the heat...hopefully he stays in the kitchen.

Why would you trade for Jason Kidd to coach your team?

You're really into head size as a sign of future success.

Oh yeah, the Kidd coaching pedigree he has built during his one mediocre season in New Brooklyn...

My Rockets are flirting with Melo. I think they wanna play as many 130-125 games as possible.

Who plays any defense whatsoever on that team. If I'm melo I'm thinking "am I the second best defender on this team?"

He's staying on the Knocks because $$$ I think...

In fairness to Melo he'd have to take about 50% less money to go to Chicago than NY. There's taking less money to win and then there's giving up $65 million.

Edit: This is based on what ESPN's "capologist" guy said yesterday, so if I'm wrong, that's where I got it from.

Melo isn't leaving NY no one can turn down that much money. Bron will stay too. He'll probably leave next year.

Is KD a free agent next year or the year after?

He's signed through the end of the 2016 season.
