It'll be a pleasure to vote for teams where I like almost every song, rather than having to find the 1-2 I like

that's neat. wait, do you mean in your head? cuz that would be what I meant was neat.

If it was on four different radio stations, neater yet

More like "oh shit, I pick after Bugs and need to figure out what's left."

And Driver 8 is what's stuck in my head this morning.

Don't let me down Joey. Right now I'd vote for your team over mine

Both of DeLima's picks were high on my list. Keep up the good work, guy. :gomez:
This decade really isn't my wheelhouse, so we'll see.

BTW Stip it's 'Fuck Tha Police', not 'Da', unless you're talking about the Russian vinyl release of that track.

I'm going to pick with my heart. But I fear a time will come when I'll lose your faith. I hope not. But it seems foregone.

Same.

This is the decade I'm least comfortable with / knowledgeable about. I'm really glad Spenno picked an XTC song. I don't know much of their stuff and I've been wanting to get into them more. That tune is rad. So, if nothing else, at least I'll take that away from this event.

This is definitely the toughest decade for me. It's the first one that I was actively listening to music. I'm really torn between choosing the songs that I loved and listened to then and the songs that I discovered in the 90s that I would and should have listened to if I had heard of them in the 80's. I really want to choose songs from those touchstone 80s alt rock classic albums but it feels a little disingenuous because I really wasn't listening to them then so a lot of the times they don't feel like the 80's to me. They kind of exist outside of a definite time period. Not 80's but not 90's either.

I have the same problem. Plus the 80s are the decade least constrained by my opinions on what music is supposed to be.

There are songs I want to pick that I enjoy on different levels. Some I watched on MTV as a 4th grader, others I discovered much, much later when digging into influences of bands that would come later. Someone enjoyed those bands back in the 1980's...could have been me if circumstances had been different.

My plan is to pick songs, like you said, that I "loved and listened to then". To me, seems like the best way to go

Great minds think alike. I spent 15 minutes going back and forth between that song and Can't Hardly Wait. Finally just flipped a coin.
