This is the decade I'm least comfortable with / knowledgeable about. I'm really glad Spenno picked an XTC song. I don't know much of their stuff and I've been wanting to get into them more. That tune is rad. So, if nothing else, at least I'll take that away from this event.

I'm really torn between choosing the songs that I loved and listened to then and the songs that I discovered in the 90s that I would and should have listened to if I had heard of them in the 80's. I really want to choose songs from those touchstone 80s alt rock classic albums but it feels a little disingenuous because I really wasn't listening to them then so a lot of the times they don't feel like the 80's to me. They kind of exist outside of a definite time period. Not 80's but not 90's either.
