I thought I remembered that about this board. But I wanted confirmation. Which is why I asked. Of course. Now I'm rambling. So there's that. How's everybody doing? When I get flustered I ramble and ask stupid questions. Who's watching World Cup this afternoon?

Nice. I might have taken that had Bankrobber been gone.

Yeah, people grabbed some early favorites before I could get to them. I really wanted a Clash tune and honestly, as obvious (and maybe played out) as it is, Rock the Casbah is such a great song. Totally defined my middle school years. So groovy and infectious. I never get tired of hearing it. Even if it isn't "the best" Clash song, it's a special one.

I was wondering who was going to break hair metal out of its prison. And now I know.

Rock The Casbah was going to be my 7th pick. Fuck. I figured it was too much of a hit to be picked by you yahoos. Oh and Def Leppard isn't hair metal.

Other than Tom Waits, my team is pretty hit heavy. But that'll shift a bit from here on out. Sort of.

I don't know. I'm just picking songs that I love from the 80's. Songs that mean a great deal to me. Hopefully, I'm assembling a team people will vote for. But if not, whatevs.

Very nice! One of the top three BBoys tunes I was considering. You've made the choice a bit easier.

I just meant too much of a hit in relation to the Clash discography....its kinda like taking Smells Like Teen Spirit. I kinda expect 10 other Nirvana songs will go before that one and I figured it would the same with the Clash. I figured wrong.

I'm surprised no one has given me shit about it yet. I expected folks to come out of the woodwork.

That's the only reason I haven't taken one yet. There are sooooooooo many. But there are three right at the top (well, two now) that I'm really hoping drop to me. But if not... It's fine. Plenty to go around.

Rock the Casbah is fairly well regarded in the world of Clash fanatics.

Now, if you'd picked Should I Stay or Should I Go I'd be biting my tongue in an effort not to say something mean...

Right the getting shit factor was another reason why I figured it would drop to me. I hear that song I think of a 90 degree summer day in 80's. It's a great pick.
