started watching Penny Dreadful. not too crazy about it, but the wife wants to keep watching bc she's in love with Eva Green, so can't argue with that

Guys, Last Ship is smackbang in "So bad it's good" territory. Everybody sternly and patriotically yells exposition at each other, stirring "Isn't America the best?" soundtrack, ridiculously bad writing, fakey network-show lighting.

Last night, a character I don't know declared his love for a fellow crewmate after he almost botched a mission to keep her safe. He literally said "I love you, STAY AWAY FROM ME" and walked off leaving her giving the ol' wet in the rain shocked stare.

Also, that same lady was raised on the farm and can "shoot the nipples off a chicken at a thousand yards". I don't even know how you would discover that. Also, there's a PC-jackpot black lesbian character who may be the worst actress on TV right now.

Also featured last night: a cartoonishly evil Russian captain and Rhona Mitra's boobs (I'm not sure the episode featured her acting).

This is my new favourite show.

We watch this. It isn't bad. Not great but I've committed to worse tv shows.

Yeah, especially since chickens are, you know, not mammals.

Under The Dome was awful last week. One the worst single episodes I have ever watched.

This is my current hate-watch show. I almost think they're making it awful on purpose at this point.

This season was a step backwards. Acid Rain episode was real bad too.
My hate-watch show was Falling Skies, but this season was an improvement.

Rhona Mitra (the body) and Alan Shore (the character) are guilty pleasures.

Jim makes reruns of The Office hard to stomach. He makes my skin crawl with the constant looking at the camera. Stupid Jim.
