I was surprised no one else took a Huey Lewis song. I know they aren't considered the coolest band but man were they fun. Bunch of great songs.

Their early work was a little too New Wave for my taste, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own. Commercially and artistically.

I saw them play a show after a Royals game at the K once when I was younger. Early/Mid 90's. It was a blast. A ball field is about the perfect environment to see that band.

Their undisputed masterpiece. A song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.

They were a ton of fun. Sounded great. Tons of energy. I really enjoyed myself. Also, saw Joe Walsh after a Royals game a few years later. That guy is hilarious. And awesome.

My buddy had this sports bloopers vhs tape he got for a buck at a yard sale or somethin.. we used to watch it when we were messed up.. it wasn't even real bloopers, just like fumbles n tackles in the backfield for losses.. it played "i want a new drug" 90% of the time in the background.. so whenever I hear that tune I think of that ridiculous tape
