I still prefer Hello Nasty.PryTo wrote:The BB's most satisfying album since Ill Communication, Hot Sauce sits comfortably alongside their best work.

Great album, but a bit of filler here and there. That said, these guys have some tremendous material that didn't make the full albums.cutuphalfdead wrote:I still prefer Hello Nasty.PryTo wrote:The BB's most satisfying album since Ill Communication, Hot Sauce sits comfortably alongside their best work.

True. But neither can Boutique and Check. That 4 album run is insanely good.

While I agree I also prefer the second pair over the first. Sacrilege, I know.

Check your head is the best one, followed by Ill Comunication.
Hello Nasty is a tricky one..."I dont know" might be one of their best songs though.

Re: Beastie Boys
i think hello nasty would be what i'd recommend for someone trying to crack into the world of the beasties, but paul's boutique is clearly the zenith, dunny. ill communication and check your head are great overall, but there's a bit too much of a thrash thing going on with those records. i think i have a lower tolerance for their punkish tendencies than most fans.
