If I can pin point the single worst bit though, it's the lyrics. I would be embarrassed to play this lp to anyone I know. Gone is just very bad on all fronts - I actually find it disturbing that such a song can have actually gone through the entire process of writing, recording, release without someone in the band or outside the band mentioning how appalling it is. Severed hand's lyrics are also god awful. But, as always with PJ, we have a couple of good ones - life wasted, parachutes are great tracks, musically and lyrically. This is the record that made me think pearl jam should stop writing new music, I really dislike it and I really wish it hadn't have happened. A real turning point in my liking of the band.
I agree, but I actually think that Life Wasted is one of the worst tracks...it's non-descript blandness perfectly setting the stage for the shit-fest that follows.

Big Wave would have been a cool instrumental jam.

As a song, it sucks.

Can someone link the location of these and any others I might not have that I can download as mp3's?

Thanks.

Thank you but there are no links for download provided. I feel like the only person here who hasn't heard a handful of outtakes mentioned in this thread.

They're probably on YouTube, I'd imagine.

Love those 2 tracks. What a great time it was last year. Wish some more turned up someday.

It might be fun to re-track avocado into the concept album it might have been.

I'd be thrilled just to have decent quality copies of those two songs but they unfortunately haven't materialised as of yet.

I think they'll end up on the ST re-issue if that series ever gets up again.

Cold Confession FTW.

Whether there's a quality copy that ever surfaces/released or not, I'm just glad I got to hear it. I miss this PJ.
