Only making the observation that I've seen more video of civilian casualties in Gaza this week than I've seen about civilian deaths associated with American bombings in years. Its very upsetting to see four kids blown up and their parents freaking out. I wish there was more coverage when we do it maybe things would change. I'm not overly concerned about Eddies ability to express his feelings. His rant seemed rather banal but I don't have the expectation that every time someone speaks on a subject they blow me away with their insight. War sucks. I agree. Next.

War does suck. I just like it when someone goes off on a tirade for their to be sincerity behind it. If he's worried about loss of life and war being bad, he probably shouldn't be supporting Obama.

I'm not really aware of who Eddie's friends are, who if anyone he raises money for or if he never criticizes Obama or whatever. I'm not saying I'm above that sort of thing I just haven't paid attention.

It is rooted in truth. Stip is a classic example of a fanboy. When I first posted here, I called this place a lair for hipster fanboys. People here think they are more objective than people at PJ.com. So, in truth, that's what it is. The truth is stip deserves a bit more credit than many of the PJ hipsters here, because at least he is not ashamed to be a complete unwavering fanboy. Others here like to pretend they are not (they are too cool for school and pretend to be anti-PJ at a PJ message board), but when push comes to shove.... they go against the hipster mentality and show their true colors. This thread was largely an example of that. You, who I'd categorize as more hipster Pearl Jam fan than Stip-like, just went to the stip side and showed your true colors. I simply pointed that out to you.

Anyways, you sound like a spurned lover. What's your point? We get it. Ed is hypocritical. Most people here agree to some extent or another. The only difference is not everyone gets their panties in a bunch over it like you do. Some of us really don't give a fuck whether or not some fifty year old rock star's on-stage commentary is "fair and balanced."

The whole don't give a fuck thing (is so cool) and would be great if any of it was remotely true. You just get upset that there are Pearl Jam fans out there that have grown to despise the hypocrisy involved in Eddie Vedder's platform and how he uses it.

Hell, a lot of us don't really give a fuck about what Pearl Jam does in 2014 to any real extent.
