"sipping a fernet branca" is the new "walking from a church into a white light with all your friends," in that it is an ending that appeals purely to the sentimental while eschewing all of the elements that made the preceding story so interestingdurdencommatyler wrote:You sure owe a lot to TDKR, friend.Alex wrote:thanks to TDKR, i now want every story to end with the protagonist(s) sipping a fernet brancadurdencommatyler wrote:No, but Bateman did. But the white light thing is just an epilogue. The fernet thing is like the whole point. So....Alex wrote:"sipping a fernet branca" is the new "walking from a church into a white light with all your friends," in that it is an ending that appeals purely to the sentimental while eschewing all of the elements that made the preceding story so interestingdurdencommatyler wrote:You sure owe a lot to TDKR, friend.Alex wrote:thanks to TDKR, i now want every story to end with the protagonist(s) sipping a fernet brancadurdencommatyler wrote:No, but Bateman did.
