I've only had a PS3 for about a year, and I've got a huge catalog of games to play; that said, I will probably buy a PS4 in the next 2-3 years (even if I haven't played through everything on the PS3) once there's some sort of price drop and once there's a nice catalog of games to work through. I will probably hold off on GTAV and The Last of Us just so I can play them on next-gen.

GTA V is noticeably lacking in the transgressive thrill of Vice City and San Andreas, and the world, graphics, and physics feel considerably less impressive than in IV, simply because they're not as revelatory. I think it feels stale, lacking the vitality that made GTA so much fun in the past. It's certainly not a bad game, just a very disappointing one considering how consistently great GTA has been previously.

TLOU was just a shit game, IMO. The writing was the standard bleak, cynical, post-apocalyptic dreck seen in countless movies and TV shows, the characters are irritating and make frustrating decisions (and the lack of decision-making makes this game feel thoroughly outdated and dull in a post-Walking Dead-and-Mass-Effect world), and the gameplay is just your boilerplate combat-punctuated-by-cutscenes formula. It's a GREAT opening (basically a much better version of World War Z) followed by a lackluster game.

Anyway, it's not even close to pulling off "love" better than any other game. Season 1 of Telltale's The Walking Dead did a MUCH better job with a similar relationship. The Mass Effect trilogy is full of truly affecting, loving relationships with much more care and character development. I didn't think the relationship in TLOU was "done well" at all; I found it boring and trite.
