Did you end up getting tickets to the solo tour?
Yeah, I tried to argue that one as an absolutely required trip but got vetoed on 2 fronts - Lisa is heading off to Darwin for a friends birthday at the same time as the Perth shows are on and our finances kicked me in the balls with a dose of reality as well (we are moving at the end of the year and are juggling 2 mortgages with unknown tenant movements at this stage).

Really bummed actually. The Fremantle Arts Centre is a great venue too. I saw the Black Keys there a few years back.

Are you going?
Ah, fair enough.

Yes, we are, looking forward to it.

Still not sure what sort of show it's going to be but I'm sure it'll be enjoyable.
I saw him do a solo show around 2000 an it was really good. Occasionally one dimensional but he is a great performer. Not any where near a Bad Seeds show though
Yeah, I'd love to go but if I had to choose between him solo and with the Bad Seeds I know which it would be.

Having said that though, I have no doubt that this will be all kinds of awesome. He's an amazing performer and has been absolutely tearing it up lately as far as all reviews I've seen.

In December we move to Perth and will be there for at least the next 7 years, so my plan from there is to make sure I see everyone that I'm even half interested in to make up for my past 21 years living in Buttfuck, Nowhere.

I'm with you on this. Whatever you do though, don't mention Stevie Ray Vaughan.

Just fucking with you... I DO hope the RMers are checking out the videos if they don't know the songs.
