I thought if it came back to you while you already had a pick pending you were automatically skipped?

I don't either. Not a fan. But I haven't dug too deeply, so that's probably part of it. To me, he doesn't actually parody the artists he covers. He just does a "funny" version of their song. The only real parody I've ever seen him do was the Nirvana one, where he's actually poking fun of Cobain/the group. Like a Surgeon or Fat doesn't poke fun at Madonna or MJ in any way. It just takes their song and adds a new "funny" concept on top of it. That's not parody. If it was Like a BRAIN Surgeon and all about how dumb Madonna was, I'd probably find that funnier. But because he gets permission from the artists in advance (Coolio aside, I think), he's pretty careful not to be mean to them.

And Stip, this is why I didn't review your mixtape. I just don't get the guy and really didn't feel like listening to a bunch of his songs. King of Pain is fantastic. Nice opener.

ALL of that said, Al's interview with Mark Maron was spectacular. I learned a lot and it made me think that I'm missing out -- with a big of digging Al is probably pretty damned hilarious. I have no doubt he's amazing to see live.

That's what I thought too. And then after you've caught up your new window is decreased.

Yes.

But he doesn't have a pick pending, right? We're ready for his Rd 4 pick. So he's caught up. If he missed before, then he has less time to pick. But I don't recall whether he missed before or not.

I'm having a hard time understanding why people aren't PMing picks. Even with something as inconsequential as this contest I would feel guilty making people wait for me.
