It's 10 below and falling
By the 99 cent store
She closed her eyes and started swaying
But it's so hard to dance that way
When it's cold and there's no music

Re: Best Decade Tournament - 90s: Sarge/knee tunes
I think Live Through This is a great record. As I recall having said on here before, while two songwriters living together are probably naturally going to have a back-and-forth influence to some degree, I think Courtney's influence on Kurt may genuinely have been greater than the other way around.durdencommatyler wrote:Kurt Cobain didn't write many bad songs.stip wrote:Say what you will about Courtney love but live through this is an excellent record and violet remains a monster of a song.durdencommatyler wrote:And here we have the were exact opposite of Hulk's pick.LetMeSleep wrote:Stip wrote:Hole - Violet
Gross. Best of luck to you, Stop, but you have assured yourself zero d,t votes.
Hole first played Violet live in 1991, prior to Kurt and Courtney becoming a serious item. Ditto Doll Parts. Courtney (and Eric Erlandson) definitely wrote those songs.

Alright, with that out of the way, good morning Red Mosquito!
Don't get me wrong, he's a nice guy, I like him just fine...
The Jesus Lizard - 'Mouth Breather'
I feel like this selection is enhanced by also providing a live video; if this doesn't want to make you throw something through a window and kick in a door or two, you may already be dead.

Re: Best Decade Tournament - 90s: Lament
I once convinced my sister for a good few months that Alanis Morissette was the same person as Avril Lavigne - she just used the alter ego for all her silly pop music that she didn't want to release under her own name.
