In my opinion he's half right in that Jeff Buckley is at least a little overrated, but "Last Goodbye" is one of his absolute best songs and one of my favorite songs from the 90s.

Everyone is at least a little overrated. Erroneous argument.

And you're goddamn right Last Goodbye is one of the best songs of the 90s.

I just think his dad was at least twice as good, and gets talked about half as much.

I'd tend to agree. But I don't see how that in and of itself overrates Jeff. He's talked about more because of the missed potential.

I said nice. I guess that can sound dismissive. I didn't mean for it to be.

This reminds me of a time when I went out drinking at a country pub for a mate's bucks night. The next thing I knew I was bent over and getting reamed in the ass by a farmer, while a bunch of blokes stood around and argued over who was having a turn next.

It doesn't, really. Maybe I'm a little burned out on Grace. "Morning Theft" is still my favorite song by either Buckley.

I wore out on J Buckley around 98. My band were looking for a new singer and out of the 30-40 we auditioned, maybe 90% were either Buckley or Yorke influenced. Amazing singer who delivered a pretty good album whose influence ultimately detracted from his output.
