Such a great song. I was happy to see Radiohead appear on 7 individual lists. The 90's was their golden era.

Heathen vs ABNorman
I've run out of time to listen to these 2 before votes close, I've gotta hit the hay. But I am pretty confident my vote wouldn't change regardless. I will listen tomorrow though as I'm actually genuinely interested in spinning Heathen's Sugar Pop Hits.

Further to this I listened through The Heathe's playlist today and actually found a lot to enjoy. I am certainly a fan of the lighter and more melodic elements of post rock and there were many here. I loved Bark Psychosis Eyes and Smiles as well as Van Pelt's The Good, The Bad and The Blind. I enjoyed almost everything else to varying degrees as well, but Ulver's Hymne V: Wolf and the Moon was fucking horrible and I hope to never hear its like again.

This match was much closer in the end than what I'd anticipated and I enjoyed taking a walk on the Heathen side vicariously through the playlist. Certainly there's some stuff for me to delve into a bit more (like those mentioned above, as well as Swans).

Varis' team is awesome.

I actually really like dsb's team here from top to bottom (with the exception of the Janet Jackson tune). Nightswimming is gold standard and Round Here, Where It's At and Not For You are all excellent. But the best thing here for me was the final song, Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia), which was an absolute joy.

I like Common People and Girlfriend on team bart but I'm not a big fan of much else there.

Team Rangi has winners with Black Capricorn Day, Pure Morning and Tomorrow, as well as getting non-English language bonus points for Du Hast.

Lament vs I got bugs
This was a pretty easy one for me. Lament has an enjoyable team top to bottom, Born Slippy being on my own radar. The best bit about team Lament though was the songs that I didn't know. I loved the passion in Motown Junk, Open Up was brilliant and Deceptacon was cool too. Best of all though was the Jimmy Eat World tune Lucky Denver Mint, which is just a perfect little piece of indie pop and is one of the 3 best things I've been introduced to this tourney.

Bugs and my tastes don't seem to mesh very well, and this has been evident across the decades. I enjoyed Wiser Time, Nutshell and You Got Me, but was pretty meh on everything else.

LetMeSleep vs. BigRedLedbetter
This was also a reasonably straightforward one for me. LMS has the glorious Svefn-G-Engler, whilst Roads, Helicon, The Ship Song and Love Sick are all real solid. RL Burnside and John Spencer is awesome - I actually had Spencer's Bell Bottom Blues on my own list.

BigRed had the tournament highlight for me with Skee-Lo's I Wish - inspired choice. Whiskey Bottle, Counting Blue Cars and Mrs Potter's Lullaby were all cool and everything else for me was nice enough.

Sgt Crackpot vs Farmer John
Now this was a close one. Sarge lead off with one of the few MSP songs that I actually knew (and like a great deal), and followed up with the excellent Singing in My Sleep. Right Here Right Now was on my own list and I'm in the "Last Goodbye is a classic" camp. The Whitlams were a great addition and High and Dry is gold standard.

Farmer had DtE and Can I Kick It?, which were both excellent, and rounded his team out with a great selection of good to very good tunes. A good team indeed.

I've really enjoyed listening through all these so far.
