I totally get that. Competition is never a bad thing.

I agree, and Schiano has said the same, he is not sold on anyone on the team and will do what he can to have competition at every position. Im excited for this off season and next year for suredurdencommatyler wrote:I totally get that. Competition is never a bad thing.

Re: 2013 NFL Offseason
I always get up for the post season. But this year, especially. I'm really looking forward to the playoffs, the combine, the draft, FA. All of it.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:I agree, and Schiano has said the same, he is not sold on anyone on the team and will do what he can to have competition at every position. I fear that Freeman is not the guy for the job, but I'm not sure that there is anyone better readily available. If it wasn't for Doug Martin and Vincent Jackson, this would have been a miserable Bucs season.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Trust me, i wanna love josh, and he has done a lot of great things, i just wanna see another step forward next year. I mean, he threw for 4k yards and 27 tds, but so many of the 17 ints were just terrible decisions and bad bad acuracy, he only had 54% completions. Thw great thing is he is still real young and lots of time to improve.

Cleveland has some decent pieces to work with, but chips offenese is gonna be the downfall, i cant see it working, especially with brandon weedon, i think he can be a good qb but not in chips offenseScott wrote:I don't see Chip Kelly making it in he NFL....especially in Cleveland, if that's where he ends up.

Re: 2013 NFL Offseason
Yeah, I just can't figure out how I feel about it. Part of me thinks it's going to be a giant disaster and he'll run with his tail between his legs back to the NCAA.Scott wrote:I don't see Chip Kelly making it in he NFL....especially in Cleveland, if that's where he ends up.
But then part of me thinks he'll be Belichick part two. And AFTER Cleveland, he'll find tremendous success.

I don't imagine Wheedon being the starter next season. At least, not for the whole year.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Cleveland has some decent pieces to work with, but chips offenese is gonna be the downfall, i cant see it working, especially with brandon weedon, i think he can be a good qb but not in chips offenseScott wrote:I don't see Chip Kelly making it in he NFL....especially in Cleveland, if that's where he ends up.

Re: 2013 NFL Offseason
Oh i agree, Vjax made freeman look good a lot this season, and the bucs need to bring in compitetion at qb, but with all the help they need on the D, i hope the dont go first round QB unless they sense someone is gonna fall big time and either trade down and pick up more 2nd or 3rd round picks, or trade back up for one, but at 13 would be a big mistake unless they have another huge free agency.Scott wrote:I fear that Freeman is not the guy for the job, but I'm not sure that there is anyone better readily available. Keep in mind that the rumor on why Chip Kelly is going to the NFL in the first place is that Oregon may get hammered with NCAA sanctions.

Looks like Rivera is keeping his job, but all the assistant coaches in jaxonville have been given permission to look for other jobs, so Mularkey could be about to be let go

Not sure how I missed it, but looks like many outlets are reporting that John Dorsey is the front runner to be the new GM in KC.

I thought Andy Reid already had someone he was wanting to bring, the former gm from the browns?durdencommatyler wrote:Not sure how I missed it, but looks like many outlets are reporting that John Dorsey is the front runner to be the new GM in KC.

That's what I'd heard as well. Now everyone's talking about either Dorsey or Heckert from the Packers.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:I thought Andy Reid already had someone he was wanting to bring, the former gm from the browns?durdencommatyler wrote:Not sure how I missed it, but looks like many outlets are reporting that John Dorsey is the front runner to be the new GM in KC.

Re: 2013 NFL Offseason
Speaking of Dorsey(Glen), im sure there is no real way to know with the new front office and all, but do you think KC will try to resign him? Im really hoping he can find his way to tampa to play beside McCoydurdencommatyler wrote:That's what I'd heard as well. Re: 2013 NFL Offseason
I wouldn't be surprised either way. But my guess would be that they part ways. Just seems to be the prevailing wisdom in and around KC. I like Dorsey, but it'll depend on how the draft/ FA goes.Dr. Van Nostrand wrote:Speaking of Dorsey(Glen), im sure there is no real way to know with the new front office and all, but do you think KC will try to resign him? Probably defensive scheme also, he is meant to play in the 4-3 and if they stick the 3-4 then they should let him go. I dont expect him to be a Beast if he gets back to the 4-3 but i think he will be solid

Re: 2013 NFL Offseason
Interesting. Was hearing rumors about Lovey Smith earlier in the week. Did they ever interview Smith?
