Well, it just fell off. He probably didn't really feel it since he is basically becoming an asexual creature right?

How could he not feel it. He was pissing through it like 2 seconds earlier

Ep. 3 was a big improvement over ep. 2, but I still feel like they need to pick up the pace a bit. This is getting dragged out too long. I mean, the first episode ended with talk about how we were right before "the fall." Two episodes later...when the fuck is this fall happening?!

That said, Corey Stoll is killing it with his performance.

I'm hoping some of the ancillary characters like the rat catcher, the old man and the street tough who stole the box get more involved and our CDC hero becomes less of a focus.

So far it hasn't lived up to its pilot but I'm hopefull we've gotten to the "let's go kill the zombie vampires stalking the city" part of the season.

I'm watching this and House of Cards at the moment and having the same actor at the heart of both stories is a little confusing.

The subplot with the Christian wife and the guy in the shed was really starting to irk me. They need to abandon that quickly.

I'm still totally on board for all the Eph stuff, though. I like the way he reacted to the first vamp encounter; in most shows/movies, they just get all disbelieving and are like "OMG vampire!" but he approached it much more scientifically, treating it as a virus consuming a host. Nice touch.

Oh, and one other complaint: they way they handled the internet disruption stuff was really fucking lame. They just had a scene where they explain to a hacker what they want, then a few scenes later someone says, "Oh yeah, all the social networks are down." What?! Show me that shit! You can't just say it unemphatically like that! How fucking lazy!

Why would he even view at a vampire? It's not like he witnessed it flying or biting a neck? He approached it on the only information he had- a parasite was infecting a host.

If that guy had the wherewithal to lock himself in the shed why didn't he just kill himself?

That's exactly my point. He approached it like any other virus, even though it just attacked him with a giant tongue stinger.

Probably because it takes a lot less resolve and strength of will to chain yourself up than to off yourself. Or maybe he's got some of the fucked up religious leanings of his wife that make him think suicide is a sin?

"I'm a Catholic, god-fearing woman who wants to save my husband's soul."
"I'm your neighbor and your dog's a dick."
"Into the monster cabin you go!"

"Something's weird about this plane, Outbreak suits NOW!"
Two days later....
"So a snake thingy erupted from this guy's mouth and tried to eat us whole. Latex gloves oughta-do-her. No need to alert anyone else."

Two observations stolen elsewhere from the internet

This scene seemed so forced. He seemed way too eager to go and beat that dog.
