so it's really only a one year $18M deal, which looks better if the team stretches it out to two years, $25M.

$12.5M is not too-too bad, for Dalton.

I agree, excellent deal for the Bengals. They're really only committed to him for two years now instead of one. If he stinks it up this year, the Bengals can draft/sign a QB to compete and then cut him after 2015 if they so choose with hardly much damage done.

Why does Adam Schefter's Twitter avatar look like an offensive Asian caricature?
I thought I saw this comment somewhere else today, and indeed:

Are you a Rush fan in addition to the Seahawks? :)
Yeah, that was me on Deadspin too. I'm a Rush fan - not a diehard or anything - but the 2112 was just a new spin on the "12" thing.
Anyway, here's your answer:

Adam Schefter wrote:About a month ago, ESPN sent me the caricature that is my current Avi. They will be using it on their fantasy football app. It’s a funny head shot, different, a dramatic improvement over my real every day appearance. So I figured it was about time to bench the US World Cup soccer jersey and start getting ready for football.

I dunno, I've gotten pretty used to the whole "find new, inventive ways to lose close games" and "get eliminated on national TV by a division rival on the NFL's last regular season game with an 8-8 record" modus operandi that the Cowboys have been running under in recent years.

From Business Insider:
Toyota has a sponsorship partnership with the 49ers and for the pre-season there's this thing called the Toyota Red Zone. The result is ads like this:

You know this type of marketing will be a regular thing a few seasons down the road. :(

Ugh if they start filling in the field with ads, combined with all the ads they show (11 mins of play time vs. 3.5 hrs real time) I just may find other things to do on Sun.
