I think he spoke of creating his own 2000s tournament, I dont know if that was him saying he was in or not.

He just knows he can't out-obscure anybody this time. Too many super savvy RMers with deep knowledge of the far corners of the 00s.

To be clear, I plan on only taking very un-obscure songs. I am not one of the aforementioned RMers with deep knowledge, etc etc...

My two favorite Pearl Jam albums came out in this decade, so you can be assured I will have a song from them.

I'm not 100% whether or not I'll take PJ this time. But it's not for lack of excellent choices. We'll just have to see how it plays out.

Re: Best Decade Tournament 2000s: Sign up
Does that make sense?Heathen wrote:Thanks for clearing that up.durdencommatyler wrote:To be clear, I plan on only taking very un-obscure songs. I am not one of the aforementioned RMers with deep knowledge, etc etc...
What I'm trying to say, to put it another way, is that I'm not very knowledgeable about music that isn't more mainstream. I tend toward those songs/artists because I grew up in the suburbs and that's what I was mostly exposed to.
Also, I feel that sometimes the more obscure music is obscure for a reason. I like different and challenging music. But in a tournament like this, I think it makes more sense to stick with things that will ring with a wider variety of posters.
Basically, what I'm saying, just to be as clear as possible, is that I probably won't be drafting any songs that no one here has never heard before. Or, rather, everyone will be familiar with my choices. If that makes sense.

No problem. If you need me to clarify any of that, just let me know. I don't think there is anything left to clarify, it is perfectly clear. No obscure songs.theplatypus wrote:I need you to clarify that
