Dude, I LOVED her performance with Nirvana. First thing I ever saw / heard from her. Outstanding.
The first solo thing I ever saw from her was this amazing performance of Tom Waits's "Big Black Mariah"

Wait, no. Actor came out before that, and I got that album the year it came out. But that video may have been the first thing that made me go "holy shit".

OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD!!!

Did you post this before? I remember seeing this video somewhere a couple of years ago and I LOVED it! I was obsessed with that video. But I'd completely forgotten the artists doing the cover.

OF COURSE it was Anne Clark! Of COURSE it was.

Thank you for posting this again. It's so badass.

A radio station streamed the Prospect Park show I was at. You can listen to the whole thing!

PS - if anyone knows how to rip this, I'd appreciate a copy. :peace:

I picked up a copy of St Vincent on vinyl this past Sunday and I should be getting Strange Mercy today. I'm gonna spin those two records like my life depends on it.

Guys... I'm a little afraid of the obsession that's building regarding one Annie Clark.

when I talk about this girl fucking a guitar... this is what I'm talking about. The song starts about 3:40 into the video. Just... I mean, COME ON

So 15 seconds in she says "my band is called St Vincent". So fuck all of you who give people shit for calling St Vincent a band.

Just got standing tickets for her show in London at the end of October. First gig other than Pearl Jam in a while for me.

Caught the second half of her set at electric picnic this weekend...yeah, i'm not buying it. I can see why some would love her, but it's she's reaching far and not getting there at all to my mind. It's all very affected and pretentious, if she just left the theatrics out and played the songs, it might be interesting. 2/10
