This sounds wicked cheesy, but this song, and this album probably impacted the way I approach music more than anything else. So with my first pick, I select Radiohead's Everything in its Right Place.

Now I just have to hope my number 2 survives 48 more picks.

So we go through four decades of picks where Chud bitches about how unsophisticated our tastes are and then he picks the most obvious band of the 00's.

I didn't bitch about them being unsophisticated, I bitched about them being shitty.

Great pick. I really wanted to snag this one (but knew it wouldn't last). Here's a great version from Letterman:

The problem with this decade is that I've got tons of bands to choose from, but only one song from each that I feel is worthy. Wolf Like Me was my TV on the Radio pick.

There is not as much depth in this decade as there was in the 90s. That is for damn sure. I think they're a ton of great bands that have debuted from 2000 and on though.

I disagree. I think there is just as much depth, if not more.

Seriously though I'd love to hear your top 10 favorite bands who have debuted from 2000 and on. Everyones really. What people are into music wise fascinates me. Especially with music not being as popular as it was 15 years ago (just my opinion there)
