I'm almost 100% positive that you have passively, even unconsciously, heard a FF song. But there's no way we could ever know.

I don't do the sort of things that would lead to a FF song entering my ears. Not saying it's impossible but quite unlikely.

I'll give this a watch, but the most interesting bits look to be the non-Foos stuff

My thought as well.

I also wonder if any of these perceived influences are going to come through on the songs. I have a feeling they will all still sound like incredibly generic/standard foo fighters songs. Maybe there will be a horn tucked way into the back and "oh they must be in memphis!" sort of thing.

So this album release also has an 8 episode TV documentary to go with it. In Australia it will be broadcast on GO! with the first episode tbc. I'll let you guys know when I find out. I guess it'll be near Nov 10, the album release date.

It looks like a good watch even if it isn't necessarily a great album. But I'm not a FF fan.

Well, the first song is about as stock Foo Fighters as you would expect...

Starts out quite pedestrian (same simple riff as Skin & Bones) but gets better as it goes. Good use of Superstition-esque keys. The end is reminiscent of the One By One album which I like. Probably up there with the best of their output from the last decade.

I like how it kind of builds throughout. This could end up being a pretty cool record.

Not really a Foos fan (I prefer Grohl behind the kit rather than the mic) but that was better than I was expecting. Might have to check out the rest of the album now....

Yep it looks to be booked in for 4:30 for the next 8 saturdays. Weird programming. I guess they'll do a marathon at some point too.

I'm on shift tomorrow so that's okay by me.
