the fact that we've gone through about a dozen radiohead songs without anyone taking the one I would have drafted makes me think I made the right decision passing on it.

6, but the night is young.

Also, they were better in the 90s.

Nobody has picked my Radiohead song yet so yay.

I do love them but I'm shocked they are so popular with these folks.

the 2000s doesn't really have a canon the way that the earlier decades did. Radiohead may just be absorbing all the energy that got spread out between the common currency bands (Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden, AIC, Smashing Pumpkins, (Radiohead again) etc.) from the 90s.

Or at the turn of the century Radiohead went from being above average to really, really good.

well besides the fact that they were already considered well above average prior to Kid A (unless the OK Computer best album of the 90s stuff is retroactively read back in), it's not like they were the only good band of this decade, or that they towered over every other artist to this degree. so something else is going on. 1 in 6 picks has been radiohead so far. No other band has dominated any of the other tournaments like that.

I don't really love Radiohead as much as a lot of people here. I tuned out after Hail to the Thief. With that said, I think Kid A is one of the best albums of our generation, Amnesiac is very close to it, and Ok Computer was really good but not good enough for those superlatives.
