Right, that's what makes it a good pick. It's totally within the rules. Wish I'd thought of it first!DeLima wrote:it's a bit of a tourney rule-stretcher, but not a rule-breaker.

I knew that you were probably the only other person interested in that little ditty - it moved up my list a little because of it.
I was all set and ready to pick it in the 90s but then realised it wasn't realeased until the 00s.

I was a little thrown by the studio version of You Know You're Right. I was used to the Hole arrangement so I kept expecting a certain chord change that isn't in the Nirvana version and it made me a little mental.

Yeah, there were live versions from Hole and Nirvana floating around on Napster, maybe even two live Nirvana versions. It was another year or so before the studio version was released on that greatest hits comp.bada wrote:I was a little thrown by the studio version of You Know You're Right. there was a live version from Chicago 93 called On a Mountain, and yeah that Hole version. The live version wasn't great I thought, but the sound on the version I had was pretty inaudible.PryTo wrote:Yeah, there were live versions from Hole and Nirvana floating around on Napster, maybe even two live Nirvana versions. Re: Best Decade Tournament 2000s: brl/farmer john
I'm almost positive there was a live version by Nirvana with terrible sound, but not long after I found one that sounded much better. Different recording from a different show. This was years ago, so it's hard to remember for sure. I might dig around my external drive at some point and see what's still there. I might have deleted them once the studio version came along.DeLima wrote:there was a live version from Chicago 93 called On a Mountain, and yeah that Hole version.
