Yeah, you know what? I didn't hate that.durdencommatyler wrote:from page like 75 or 76:Birds in Hell wrote:I have to admit I'm somewhat disappointed my choice of a Murder City Devils song didn't inspire any reaction from you, Joey. Didn't you once call them the single worst band you'd ever seen?
That isn't why I picked it, of course, but still.durdencommatyler wrote:I saw MCD open for Pearl Jam in 1998. They were terrible.Birds in Hell wrote:

it sounds vaguely familiar. In 2001 I was living alone, had a short commute in which I mostly listened to npr or mix cds, and it was pretty easy for me to avoid anything that I didn't gravitate to right away.

It's entirely possible to avoid a song that's "everywhere", as I was reminded by the new Weird Al album.cutuphalfdead wrote:that song was everywhere

Re: Best Decade Tournament 2000s: IHTP/Bart
I graduated college in an era where I thought pop raido was really awful, MTV had fallen apart, and there wasn't effective internet for hearing about new music. I was pretty happy with the stable of artists I left college with. Plus I had just discovered Dan Bern and Tom Waits, and between the two of them I had about 500 songs to keep me busy for a while.
