As far as I can tell, I can go so...

Band Of Horses- The Funeral

I'll have a video up later, or someone can post one for me.

That song just gets to me. Just beautiful.

I have a BoH song on my list still. Not sure I will pull the trigger but I find them very underrated. Glad I saw them when they opened for MMJ.

PryTo wrote:
DeLima wrote:Hopefully our demos will get collected and released anyway
The band members spend a year recording their next album A Season in Hell, during which DeLima's artistic and creative talents often are buried beneath his arrogant and rebellious traits, leading to arguments between him and PryTo. At one point, PryTo tells DeLima he doesn't understand what he's looking for, to which DeLima responds that he wants to be great. Stip replies "We ain't great. We're just some guys from Jersey." DeLima makes it clear that if the band cannot be great, then there is no reason to ever play music again.

The band's second album is a culmination of all that DeLima had ever hoped to do with music, different from anything that anyone else had ever done to that point, and he was satisfied with it. However, it is controversial and considered dark and strange by the record company, Satin Records, and is rejected, not to be released. In the early morning hours after Satin refuses to release the new album, DeLima's car crashes through the railing going over the Stainton Memorial Causeway. DeLima is declared dead, but his body is never found.

My life just became ridiculously busy! Got a new teaching gig, and with all of the trainings, planning, and other preparations, have barely had time for anything else...

I don't feel like I've been effectively adding much to the party, either.

:peace:
you can just send me a list if you want to continue.

Congrats on the job! what is it?

Heathen wrote:So this was pretty boring. More than the songs themselves, which rank from meh to bland for the most part, the worst thing about this list is that's it's devoid of any personality. It's basically a list of what you should be into if you want to call yourself indie. Le ugh indeed.

I kinda had the same thought, with the caveat that, as far as indie music goes (and I'm generally not a fan) it was pretty good. The 2000s equivalent of a grunge greatest hits playlist.

it's a my little pony soundtrack morning in the stip household, so if people could draft stuff from Friendship is Magic seasons 1 or 2 I could keep up with my listening schedule.

Shit. that's next tournament

I kinda like my little pony. It's definitely the best thing she likes to watch.

Although she just took a poop in the potty, so we are watching Frozen as a reward

I believe bugs' time is up. Chud can now pick 2 more Pitchfork-approved songs.

Just got done with Heathen's mix. I hadn't heard any of those songs so thought I should listen. I liked it save for one song. I'm not quite sure why he bags on everyone else's picks it's the same basic crap he listens too.

I don't know how to answer to that since 1) I don't bag on everyone else's picks and 2) I don't see any Arcade Fire / Wilco / Strokes / Radiohead / White Stripes on my list.

I don't have any of those artists in my team (other than Thom Yorke on the PJ song) and you hate my team.
