This was also the first time I had to compromise and share music with my wife. She doesn't like Dylan or metal but we have middle ground.

The Caretaker - 'lacunar amnesia'
that was nice. But was that really one of your 10 favorite things from this decade?
There are a lot of favorites from the decade that aren't making the cut, for me.

I am not going to end up with what were probably my 3 favorite songs of the decade (at least songs I would have called my favorite at the time). I'm not sure why that is.

One was drafted by someone else, but I could have easily had it

I've gone with some special songs that may not be favourites. I haven't pulled the trigger on what is one of the most special tracks to me and my wife as I know it isn't the most fantastic track ever written.
Spoiler: show
Ron Sexsmith - Fallen
And this clip is awful

Lose Yourself was my first pick in all of these drafts where the cultural impact outweighed my personal enjoyment by so much. I think it's a great song, but there's a lot more stuff I reach for first.

As of this minute I plan to take a very special song at #10. Which means I won't take Ryan Adams, Pearl Jam, Arctic Monkeys, They Might Be Giants or Sufjan Stevens. And all of them are huge artists for me in this decade.

This tournament played out super oddly.

It's probably not the best song on Details, and Imogen Heap certainly has better songs, but it's the song that introduced me to her, so there you go. The song has actually held up pretty well.
