Pitchfork just released a top 200 list of 2010-14

I'm not sure I'm gonna go in that direction, but still

I knew that was dropping this week. Thanks for the reminder. I enjoy looking at their lists. I don't always agree but they take their time and their write ups are good.

My buddy did an internship there. Said everyone was really nice. Which surprised me. I'd expect them to be pretentious hipsters.

I think early Pitchfork staff might've been exactly that, a bunch of pretentious hipster dicks. I believe with time they've gotten old enough and self-aware enough to mellow out a little, focus more on quality writing than petulant snobbery.

Is that right? I tried Pitchfork early on and HATED the way they wrote precisely because they were all pretentious douchebags. Maybe I should give 'em another try.

David Cross probably had similar reactions to me back then.

If "Alex" wants in he can fucking well quote the list and post it himself. It's not like it's anything strenuous or complex like a mix tape review or anything.
