It's weird because Bryan Hoyer and Connor Shaw are easy guys to root for, but obviously because he's a good brand builder Manziel is eventually going to be the guy, part of me wants Cleveland to have the star work out for once, but they do have the whole Lebron thing too.

I still have no freaking idea what to make of Manziel.

Ha! Somebody has to get the old Mike Vick double barreled salute along with Manziel.

Brady Quinn and Brandon Weeden were both taken 22nd overall as well, so...

If you are drafted in Round 1 as a quarterback and things don't pan out well, I think it's very safe to call that a big bust.

but if you're taken in the 3rd round, by new england, it's also safe to say people will hold it as evidence that BB sucks at the draft.

Sure, but an "all-time" bust? I do agree to an extent, though, because I'm sure they'll start to put him on billboards, make tons of money off merchandise, get the town all excited, and then if they have a few seasons of 6-10...5-11...7-9...6-10...for the team, he might end up being a bust. But he's no Ryan Leaf (meaning, he wasn't a coveted, high draft pick who never panned out).

Was looking at something else on Wikipedia, and came across the page for details on "disaster drafts" (i.e., procedures in place in case a number of a team's player die or are "dismembered"). Morbid, sure, but it's in the rules. Somehow, I had never thought of this before: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disaster_draft

so the Browns get to implement this?

I did a little more digging into weird draft history and found this; something you're familiar with? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taro_Tsujimoto

New Era has its flagship store in Buffalo and immediately sold out of a hat commemorating Taro's team. Really wish I got my hands on one.

I don't really see the big deal about an undersized QB with a wildly inaccurate arm.

Yeah, I think we're in agreement here. On another note, I've watch probably all of Johnny's play and most of Garoppolo's and haven't seen a huge difference. In fact, you could argue that at this point Garoppolo is the better pro QB. Of course, this is all based off of two pre-season games, so there's that.

I think he will get eaten alive in the NFL.

Garoppolo also has the benefit of playing for a hyper functional organization with numerous successful structures in place. It's night and day.

I like that hat.. pick me up one if u see it..

As for manziel.. I dunno what to think either.. I wanna root for him (def to beat pitt) and I kind of can because they don't play the fins.. they put hoyer in as starter, but we all know jm will be in the lineup in a heartbeat if he screws up in the least.. that's if they don't change their mind by week 1

All the shit people talk about manziel busting.. I think the biggest reason for a shitty season (when he breaks the lineup) is the gordon suspension
