I held in my hands today the first edition copies of the Mad Season box set. The packaging is simple, elegant, and beautiful, just like Layne's artwork. 2 CDs, 1 DVD, and a booklet with my 10 page essay on Seattle music and the history of Mad Season. As I was signing copies for the promo campaign (let me tell you, grandchildren, what its like to sign 500 things, fingers numb), I could hear Pearl Jam rehearsing down the hall. Damn, that band is so good. SO GOOD. Like, best-American-band-of-all-time-epic-good. Inspiring. I can't wait for their new album. And then I hear there's a new Alice In Chains album coming out May 14th! Awesome! In summary: Mad Season box set is out April 2nd, and my main band, Walking Papers, are about to head back to Europe for some club and festival dates starting in April. We'll be announcing more US dates in the coming days too. Rock is back in Seattle. Actually, it never left. And its heading out into the world looking for you.

Rehearsing means playing old songs, like from when they weren't trying to be the Strokes.

You mean putting out shitty records?
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

The band does have a show this weekend. They're actually rehearsing for it. I take that as a good sign.

So a week ago we had a 'tracklist' and even review of that tracklist, and now the discussion has died off to the point that I had to bump this thread before it went to page 2 of the forum. Good prank B.

I think this is legit (although i can't personally confirm). We just don't have new information. I think B is trying to persuade this person to let us hear it.

at least he said he was, and he damn well f'ing better be.

I'm predicting we'll hear the songs in 5 days' time...
