I beat Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest on a SNES emulator. It took me three weeks. I'm not really a gamer.

Fun game though. You should check out Donkey Kong Country Returns on Wii if you have one. That is a great game too.

I haven't owned a console since the N64. But I like these monkeys.

The PS3 will NOT play .mkvs directly. But it can stream them using PS3 Media Server on the host machine. It works surprisingly well and is simple to set up.

There's also a program called mkv2vob that will convert them easily to a format playable by ps3. The only thing is you'll only get one audio track so if there's a director's commentary as an additional audio track you won't get that in the conversion.

Combat feels great, I'm playing it on hard and it really makes you work for it. Dolby 7.1 has come in handy a few times when there have been multiple enemies trying to flush me out of cover. I've made a point of scouring every inch of the city for voice logs, secrets, or to simply just soak in the atmosphere looking at cool shit. Basically I'm trying to savor the experience as best I can.

I was getting some lag with it, but mostly because I was tying up my wifi bandwidth with torrents and the such. My NAS drive is hard wired into the router and so is the PS3 so keeping conversions stored there has been my best option.

The secondary audio track issue is the same with both methods. Whether I convert the files or play the mkvs via media server I'm still stuck with the default audio track.
