He is that big of a jerk huh? How so? Not doubting you just curious. I have never really heard anything bad about him. Roger Craig has nothing but good things to say about him. Haha I really liked him. Not a good coach but something about him was awesome. Kinda like he was your Dad. I can see why you hate him. I hate Bill Callahan for the same reason.

Egomaniac, holier than thou, liar, jerk, manipulative, smug, stubborn, standoffish, and top that off with the fact that he is a spectacular fucking loser. Why people continue to put this asshole up on a pedestal is beyond me.BigRedLedbetter wrote:He is that big of a jerk huh? How so? Not doubting you just curious. I get the point haha. Thanks. Good luck this year. I dig U Dub. Re: 2014 College Football Season
Let me put it this way. I was never a sports radio listener or a member of the UW message boards. That is, until probably about mid-season in 2007 when I became addicted because every minute of every day I was just itching and scratching for news that he had been fired. It was a dark time to be a Husky fan. I even called in to the coach's show for the first time and asked him on the air if he "realizes that he has sucked all the fun out of Husky football for the players and the fans" (I can't remember what I said to the call screener that she let my call go through, and of course he completely ignored the content of my question in his response).
I also emailed a local radio host - the host of that coach's show actually - and called him a coward for lobbing nothing but softball questions in his interviews with Willingham. His email reply was laden with the F word and pretty funny actually. Only later did I realize that someone above him was really in charge of what he could talk to the coach about.
I also lobbied the editor of the Seattle Times to pull a (new to Seattle from Kentucky at the time) columnist off all UW Football related articles because he was a Willingham apologist and knew nothing really of Husky football tradition, but acted like he did.
I feel strongly that the local media was largely responsible for Willingham staying at UW for a 4th season - a season of course in which he went 0-12 which I believe is the only time a team in our conference has had that record.
I was quoted in the Seattle Times at one point - my quote was taken a little out of context but I was basically saying "we are stuck with him and I will never root for UW to lose a game" however there was a very vocal minority here rooting for UW to lose in order to get rid of Willingham sooner.
It was bad, dude. Bad. You wouldn't believe the message boards at the time.

I turned the game off at 24-13 assuming Wisconsin won. There were 10 minutes left and nothing was really happening then I saw your post looked it up and LSU won, ridiculous. If any team could salt away clock I would think it to be Wisconsin. Oh well.spike wrote:I DON'T KNOW IT WAS WEIRDElectromatic wrote:WTF happened???spike wrote:WTF ARE THE BADGERS DOING

Re: 2014 College Football Season
yeah, wisconsin decided to bench heisman candidate melvin gordon iii (already well over 100 yards before being essentially benched btw) for no particular reason in the second half, instead opting for corey clement, who racked up a whopping 45 yards on the ground in the game. and no, gordon iii wasn't injured, because he was back in the game late to pass block for quarterback tanner mcevoy, who can't hit the broadside of a barn. it was completely infuriating and makes me not give a shit about the badgers or college football for the rest of the year.Electromatic wrote:I turned the game off at 24-13 assuming Wisconsin won. That USC/Stanford game was flag filled yet still entertaining enough. And MSU/UO is living up to its advertisement.
I'm guessing BRLB had some stress to deal with today.

Dude. You ain't kidding! I said at the start of the year we will go 7-5 (maybe 8-4) and I'm sticking to that. This O Line is super young and the defense is suspect. Abdullah is a fucking beast though. Wish we gave him the ball more.Green Habit wrote:

I was coming back home ready to post "LOL Ohio State and Michigan". I think if Iowa had completed the meltdown against Ball State I would have been more eager to condemn the entire conference.turned2black wrote:Big Ten

Yep B1G is not very good this year. All the more reason to can Bo Pelini if we don't at least win our division.

This is what happens when you associate with a place like Rutgers.

Haha I didn't mind adding Rutgers. I would have rather tried to get Louisville though. It's weird being in a conference with a team from New Jersey. I don't fist pump or spray tan well and I hate Bon Jovi.Bammer wrote:This is what happens when you associate with a place like Rutgers.

Re: 2014 College Football Season
This whole conference alignment nonsense is only going to get worse.
Until there are four huge conferences - like 16-20 teams each.
I am just glad the PAC hasn't added anyone east of the Mississippi River.
Spanning 3 time zones kinda defeats the purpose.

It will get much worse. I bet PAC adds like BYU, Fresno, SD State, etc. It wouldn't shock me if Texas jumped ship to the PAC either.Bammer wrote:This whole conference alignment nonsense is only going to get worse.
