Ahh yes former Rangers and Yankees great.
Def on my list. 2002 Lowe was great.

I'm more of an Elizabeth Loaiza guy.
Good pick though. He has some great years as a White Sock I believe. A guy on the long list of all star caliber pitchers who got swallowed up by the ballpark in Arlington.

Why did 4/5's select Justin Thompson? Like the guy from the Tigers?

He did have a great season. Just really surprised me to see that year selected. I guess Im looking at those numbers through hindsight glasses. In a hitters era they are pretty impressive.

Thompson was incredible in 1997. Was that still at Tiger Stadium? I forget when your new park opened. Crazy fact Thompson struck out Ken Griffey JR 6 straight times.
I remember being very excited we acquired him from you guys in the Juan Gone trade. That haul was pretty nice on paper getting Gabe Kapler, Cordero and Frank Catalanotto.

Did he get injured, or just fall off?

Tore his rotator cuff after the trade. Never started another major league game. The Rangers were so awesome from 2000-2008.

Wymore, Nebraska (population 1,500) and Doane College (20 minutes from my house) alum Jake Diekman saw some action today for Philly.
I'm trying to remember the last combined no hitter without cheating.

Didn't somebody (Houston?) combined no hit the Yankees a few years ago?

That is the last one I remember. Where they used like 6 pitchers.
Great pick up with Hudson. Was one of my next 2 picks.
