I was worried you were going to take this as your first pick. The only reason I didn't take R.E.M. last decade was I was trying to pick bands no-one else had picked.....which worked against me.

the st. vincents picks are my two favorites from the new album i think. birth in reverse is good, too. i still need to listen to that record a little more often, though. it didn't grab me like her earlier ones yet.
