It really is a wonderful idea. We have done a great job. I basically just look up stuff on baseball reference anyway with my free time. Might as well put my efforts to use.

Being a baseball fanatic is a terrible addiction but at least it's not crack.

Keep in mind guys, as we get to the later rounds and we're filling in utility spots and padding our bullpens, we can shorten the pick time to an hour if you guys like. That way we can get to the tournament quicker.

Greg? Holland in for the save for the Royals against the Rangers. So essentially this game is over. For those who haven't seen this kid yet....incredible stuff.

Dellin Balances. What he's done this year has been simply amazing.

Re: starting/relief pitcher use

I assumed you want the best pitchers possible regardless, since these are dream teams. Darvish, Sabathia, Scherzer, etc. could all serve as RP guys, right? I'm not saying I wouldn't grab a "closer", but any of those guys would be just as good if not better to close out a game, and if you have 6-8 solid guys you don't really have to worry about availability in a 7-game series.

You can load up with 13 starting pitchers if you think that's best for your team.

I'm strongly considering carrying eight or even nine relief pitchers though.

If a starting pitcher pitches in relief duty though, while he can appear in the next game as a relief pitcher again, I don't think you should be allowed to start him without waiting the two game period.
