Finally got around to watching this.
Who knew you could be so riveted by watching a guy make phonecalls while driving.
Def worth a watch.

Even though I LOVE Tom Hardy, I must admit I am hesitant to watch this. The concept sounds massively uninteresting to me.

I had it d/l for months before watching it. Once I did, I wished I hadn't waited. Things fall apart in succession for this guy and it's quite compelling to watch.

If I can get it at Redbox, I will do the same! But only if I can pretend that you're sitting next to me on the couch, d,t.

I liked this a lot. There's really no need to be hesitant about it. It doesn't feel like a gimmick or claustrophobic or anything. It keeps you intrigued and entertained, very good. Not everyone could pull this movie off, but Tom Hardy does.

Of course! I appreciate you asking, but you don't my permission to pretend.
Though, I have to admit, I got caught up at work and I didn't watch it.

lol@ you don't need my permission to pretend.
So, I watched the special features and listened to the commentary, and the way they made the movie is very interesting. Each night, they hooked the car up with different camera angles, and played the whole movie front to back. All the actors on the telephone were in a studio and would be patched in live to Hardy in the car. They tried to do it twice a night, and did it whole 16 times. one action call at the start, and one cut at the end, roll with the punches in between. The director would slightly tweak his direction for each actor each time, and in the end, they just cut them all together, choosing the best performances. def unique.

I'd never think to say of the actors on the phone "hey, great job" but really, they were fantastic in a way that you just never see in movies. The wife, the boss, his drunken replacement, so well played with just their voices to react to.
