Hey Lament........

So day of game should I just give you my lineup and SP and you will set it?

Yeah. We just need to agree on a deadline for you to get your line-up in. I think we may ask you to set up your rotation in advance, and if you want to make a change, you need to do so at a certain time so that your opponent has a chance to alter his line-up. If you miss your deadline to submit, we'll just re-use the line-up from your previous game and move on to the next starter in your rotation.

Right on. This is way too much fun. My friends and I are talking about doing a college football and an NHL one. This is all new to me but it's addicting.

Baseball, college football and hockey ones are the only ones I'd do I think. Maybe NBA as long as I could have Olajuwon, Eric Piatkowski and Tyronn Lue.

I'm sure my friends from Alaska, Minnesota and Wisconsin respectively who eat, sleep and breathe NHL will all smoke me in the hockey one.

I have already started looking at stats for the 1980-1994 tourney. Good lord Kirby Puckett was underrated.

4/5 said a few pages back just to skip him whenever he came up, that he was just taking Marlins from here on out.

I thought about maybe running tournaments for others sports if this goes well, but I worry that they won't be as conducive to the play-by-play box score simulations as baseball. I guess football might.

Looks like I ended up with just under half of my team being Cardinals. 12 of them, inc. the last 5.

I only ended up with 3 Red Sox, and two of them are on the bench.

If things go well here, I think the tournament I'd want to do next whenever people are ready for another one is the all-time franchise one. That one could be nice to do since it wouldn't require a draft.

That sounds fun. Under this scenario could we use stats when they were with another team? I ask because if I was the Rangers I'd maybe wanna take a different Ryan year.

No, we'd keep it years that were on the team. We'd also let people appear on multiple franchise's team. For example, you could have 1975 Fisk on the Red Sox and 1985 Fisk on the White Sox. Clemens could be on the Red Sox, Yankees, and Blue Jays teams.
