It's always bugged me that Stieb was off the HOF ballot in his first year while Morris just got more and more support.

Stieb once lost a no-hitter with two outs in the ninth in back to back starts.

Wow that is a crazy stat about Stieb. It was cool to see him come back in 98. He had 19 CGs as a 24 year old. Times have changed a little.

If I wasn't on my phone I would post the video... one of them was routine grounder to second that took a ridiculous hop over the second baseman's head. Heartbreaking.

Something I will always remember was watching Mussina lose a perfect game at Fenway with 2 outs in the bottom of the 9th. I watched that whole fucking game with some buddies in my dorm room and it was one of the best pitched games I have ever seen in my life. I hate the Yankees with all that I am but it was a bummer to see him lose it.

Through best pitched game I've ever seen was Brandon Morrow in 2010... lost a no-hitter with two out in the ninth on a ground ball that Aaron Hill dove for but couldn't hang onto. Two walks, 17 K's.

Ok, since I don't really know when 4/5 & are gonna close this thing out, I'm gonna go ahead and run a randomizer for the seeds. Looks like they are...

1. Argo
2. #BRL
3. Kaius
4. Skitch
5. phil
6. chud
7. numbers
8. 4/5
9. Lament

So the play-in round is 4/5 vs. Lament.

First round matches are as follows.

Argo vs. 4/5/Lament
#BRL vs. numbers
Kaius vs. chud
Skitch vs. phil

The team listed first has home-field advantage.

I think I'm more excited for the trash-talking that will be exchanged between you and chud than anything else.

I hope by the later innings of game three the simulator starts having your teams exchange brushback pitches followed by big name after big name getting tossed until finally there's just a huge brawl.

Hey 4/5, do you want me to host your team on my account? Just let me know the seasons you want for each guy and I will. Then we can kick off the play-in round.
